# Baantlo > Baantlo is a free iPhone app for apartment buildings in Pakistan. One > resident — the admin — records the building's shared bills as they arrive, > splits each one across exactly the flats it applies to, and records what each > resident pays. Baantlo carries unpaid balances into the next month, the way a > shopkeeper's khata does. It records money; it never holds, moves or collects > any. Key facts: - Price: free while in early access. No ads, no in-app purchases, no paid tier. - Platforms: iPhone, iOS 16.4 or newer, on the App Store (https://apps.apple.com/app/id6798327018). Android is not released yet. - Language: English. - Currency: set per building, Pakistani rupees by default; USD, GBP, EUR, AED, SAR and INR are also available. Amounts are stored as whole paisa, so shares always add back to the exact total and no rupee is lost to rounding. - Account: required. A building's ledger is shared between its residents, so it lives on Baantlo's servers rather than on one phone. - Roles: whoever creates the building is its admin and records bills, members and payments. Residents join with a six-character invite code and see the building's bills and their own balance. - Splitting: each bill is split evenly across only the flats you select for it — the lift across the upper floors, the gas riser across the lower ones, the guard's salary across everyone. Any remainder is distributed rather than dropped. Weighted and unequal splits are not built yet. - Payments: record full or partial payments with a note. Whatever is unpaid stays on that flat's balance and carries into next month; overpayment becomes credit. - Recurring bills: a bill that repeats monthly, such as the guard's salary, is set up once and added at the start of each month. - Joining and leaving: a resident added before they install the app has their dues attach when they sign up with the same mobile number. A new resident is never charged for bills raised before they joined, and a resident who leaves owing money stays visible in the report. - Categories: utilities, cleaning, security, water, generator and repairs, plus any category the building adds. - Reports: a monthly statement per flat showing opening balance, charges, payments and closing balance, and a building report with a category breakdown. Both can be shared out of the app. - Money handling: none. Baantlo holds no bank details and processes no payments. Residents pay the way they already do — cash, bank transfer, Easypaisa, JazzCash — and the admin records what came in. - Privacy: the app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. This website counts page views with cookieless Vercel Web Analytics. - Operated by Muhammad Tahir, Karachi, Pakistan.
